Hello

As a clinician, I strongly support the mind-body connection. I believe that mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical health are interconnected, and in order to achieve optimal healing and well-being, we must address all. I also believe that we have the power to aid in our own healing, and overall growth.

As we work together, we may use relaxation techniques, mindful meditation, somatic methods, parts work, visualization, movement integration, cognitive restructuring, dialectical strategies, and trauma reprocessing to create healing.

Through trauma informed psychotherapy, I will help you experience, express, and manage your emotions at your own pace. I will encourage you to incorporate a healthier more grounded lifestyle, and will assist you in breaking old thought and behavior patterns that no longer serve you. You will learn to be mindful and find joy in the present moment.

My Story

I have always been someone who listens closely and asks thoughtful questions. From a very young age, I was drawn to help others, and my natural curiosity about mental, emotional, and physical health, healing, and wellness led me to pursue a career in the field of psychology and mental health field.

I am licensed as an Independent Mental Health Practitioner, as well as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor in the State of Nebraska. I am also a Nationally Certified Counselor. I've been trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Brainspotting (Phases 1 & 2, as well as other advanced specialty Brainspotting trainings on parts work and trauma release). I'm an Internal Family Systems Informed Therapist and find great delight in helping my clients heal. I hold an Integrative Mental Health Certificate, a Certificate in Holistic and Integrative Health, and a Reiki Level II Certificate. I am always continuing my education related to nutritional and holistic approaches to addressing mental health issues, and have become well connected in the integrative, holistic, and functional realms of treatment in Omaha, Nebraska. I can offer excellent support, resources, and referrals.

During my career, I have had the privilege providing psychotherapy and treatment services to individuals with varied backgrounds.  I’ve worked with at-risk adolescents, inmates in prison, people with addictions, men, women, families, and individuals within the LGBTQ community. I have been practicing in the Mental Health and Drug and Alcohol counseling fields for over 26 years and have a total of 31 years working in the Behavioral Health field.  I attended Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln, Nebraska receiving my Bachelors in Psychology.  Shortly after graduation I moved to Omaha and continued my studies at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, receiving my Master of Science in Community Counseling.

I am a psychotherapist who loves my family, my dogs, yoga, Reiki, meditation, relaxation, and mindful living. I'm most proud to be the momma of two of amazing adults.
